Match report A beautiful April afternoon, but a bit of a humbling experience for the Sunday IIs! Hook, fielding a complete Saturday IIs league side, batted first and made 302 off 40, with all five top batsman coming off and 3 50s among them. Freddie Stevens bowled seriously well for a first outing, but had little help from the slow wicket. Naqi Sadiq was the pick of the rest but everyone got punished. Special mention for a stonking catch in the gulley from a hung-over Rex Porter.

HW IIs batting was... undistinguished. Graham Jackson narrowly pipped Freddie Stevens as top scorer with a mere 13. The rest isn't worth describing, although Rex Porter, a little fresher by then, and Peter Martin did wag the tail for a while.
