No Hampshire player qualifies for a benefit season in 2009, but Hampshire CCC are very keen to maintain our annual fixture. So for 2009 we have arranged a special match with proceeds going to the following charities:

Hampshire & Islands Multiple Sclerosis Society

Maple Ridge Special Needs School (Autistic & Downs Syndrome Children )

The Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust.
The day will feature the same entertainments as in previous years:

And of course, a very entertaining game of cricket featuring some England or ex-England players, and, if we're as lucky as we were this year, the odd special guest.This is a very important weekend for the club; it would be very nice to see more people getting involved rather than sitting back and watching the faithful few take on all the many tasks that make the events run smoothly. Remember, it's your club as much as anyone else’s, so please give it some thought and get more involved as it can be very rewarding.
Help will be needed in the build-up to the day; We’re also be looking for girls to work in the marquee during the lunch and at the Ball on Saturday night, 4th. July.

Sponsorship is a vital component of this day. It's a great corporate event - an ideal setting to reward colleagues or build business relationships.
