02 Jun 2011 : U9s TRIUMPH AGAIN! HAMBLEDON TOURNAMENT WINNERS
U9s TRIUMPH AGAIN! HAMBLEDON TOURNAMENT WINNERSFresh from their victory in the Cove Tournament, the U9 team travelled to historic Hambledon on Bank Holiday Monday in defence of the trophy won 12 months ago.  Big wins over Portsmouth and Hambledon B and a narrow win over Odiham put the team at the top of their group.  An exciting and tense semi-final against last year's finalists, Hambledon A, set up a final against Waterlooville which was won well with solid batting and excellent bowling and fielding.  The team played outstanding cricket all day and were great ambassadors for the Club on and off the pitch.

09 May 2011 : U9s WIN COVE TOURNAMENT
U9s WIN COVE TOURNAMENTThe U9A team has started the season in style winning the Cove Tournament on Bank Holiday Monday.  The whole team played extremely well in all matches and was unbeaten on the day.

28 Mar 2011 : 2011 MEMBERSHIP

With the new season nearly upon us it is time to renew that membership.

This season sees us begin to use Bramshill as a venue for League cricket with the formation of a Saturday III XI to provide the much needed stepping stone from Colts to Senior cricket.

There will be the return of a benefit game against Hampshire, with Nic Pothas the beneficiary, as well as a summer ball.

As always there will be a full Social calendar and full details of events and functions can be found on the clubs website – www.hwcc1770.co.uk or club notice board.

The pavilion and bar will be open every Friday evening and Sunday lunchtime. In addition the pavilion and bar will also be open after every home match and during every Saturday home match.

So don't delay and get the form in as soon as possible.
Forms are available to download on this website, or to pick up from the bar.

06 Apr 2010 : CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR LADIES
Over the Easter weekend two young ladies from the club passed the UKCC2 Assessment and are now qualified to run coaching sessions at all age groups. Kerry & Becky Hartnett have been working hard on achieving this qualification.
They now join Emma Plume and bring our total to three. Emma has just been appointed as lead coach for a county girls squad for the next winter programme and currently assists the County U15 squad.
No doubt Kerry and Becky will move further in the training programmes, and we look forward to seeing their names in lights.

01 Apr 2010 : CONFIRMATION OF GRANTS FOR BRAMSHILL & OUR JUNIOR SECTION
We have now received confirmation of grants from, Sport England, ECB, Hampshire Playing Fields Association, Hampshire Cricket Board, Southern Electric Premier League and Hampshire County Council Youth Development Fund. These grants will meet most, but not quite all, of the £34,000 needed for the renovation of this excellent cricket ground.

These monies will allow the installation of a Double Bay Cricket Net, a New Artificial Wicket, the laying of three new grass wickets, new Sight Screens and Scoreboards.

Some of this work has already commenced, in spite of the efforts of the weather, and the nets and artificial will be installed May 24th-26th.
